The Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning (ACSP) is a consortium of university-based programs offering credentials in urban and regional planning. Acting together, the ACSP member school faculty are able to express their shared commitments to understanding the dynamics of urban and regional development, enhancing planning practices, and improving the education of both novice and experienced planners.
The ACSP promotes education, research, service and outreach in the United States and throughout the world. It is committed to recognizing the diverse needs and interests in planning. It seeks to strengthen the engagement as well as through participation in the accreditation process. The ACSP believes that planning education should extend beyond the classroom and into the world of practice working closely with practicing professionals and communities.
Full Membership is open to any 501(c)(3) or similar U.S. academic unit that offers a degree or degrees in planning. Base dues cost $350, with $50 for each capitated faculty.
Affiliate membership is open to any U.S. academic unit that has a clear interest in planning but does not offer a degree in planning. Corresponding membership is open to any non-U.S. academic unit that offers a degree in planning. (ACSP Bylaws, revised 2014). Base dues for either category is $115, with $50 for each capitated faculty.
Individual Membership is open to any person who wishes to participate in the full-range of ACSP’s planning education and research activities. Individual member dues vary.
Friends and colleagues can participate with ACSP by creating a free Guest Account. There is no fee but there is limited access to the full benefits of the ACSP web site.
