The College of Architecture at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia has an immediate opening for an Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs and Outreach.

Working closely with the Schools and research centers of the College, the Assistant Dean will provide research and analysis on the state of the College and its peers at the direction of the Dean. The successful candidate will: develop initiatives for the recruitment and retention of women and under-represented minority students (and faculty) working with academic advisors, faculty, and College leadership; participate in Institute relations and outreach, including government relations, DLPE, recruitment, etc.; attend College Advisory Committee, College & School Faculty Meetings, and other College meetings as needed; and should have an appropriate academic background to teach on a regular basis of no more than 50% time.

Other duties may include complimentary and joint endeavors in other areas of the College such as symposia, conferences, professional education, college-wide lectures, exhibits, publications, and other academic outreach efforts of the centers and schools within the College of Architecture and the Institute.

The successful candidate will report to the Dean of the College of Architecture. This is a full-time 12 month appointment. The successful candidate will be classified as an Academic Professional and will hold General Faculty Status. Salary is commensurate with experience. A Master’s Degree is required.
