APA Is Inviting Nominations & Applications for the Position of JAPA Editor-in-Chief

Dr. Sandra Rosenbloom soon will complete her term as Editor of JAPA, the official journal of the American Planning Association. Dr. Rosenbloom has guided JAPA since 2013 with great dedication and expertise.

To serve as JAPA's next Editor, APA seeks an individual who will ensure that the highest quality and most relevant research is published in JAPA, for the benefit of scholars and planners in all practice settings.

The successful candidate will assume the position of Editor officially beginning January 1, 2019, after an orientation and transition period in late 2018. The term of the editorship is five years (2019-2023).

Mission

The Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning promotes education, research, service and outreach in the United States and throughout the world by seeking to:

  • recognize diverse needs and interests in planning;
  • improve and enhance the accreditation process, and;
  • strengthen the role of planning education in colleges and universities through publications, conferences, and community engagement;
  • extend planning beyond the classroom into the world of practice.
