Case Study Award Deadline: January 6
The Lincoln Institute of Land Policy is offering ten $2,000 awards to proposers to research and write a teaching case study using the Lincoln Institute’s case template.
Via a partnership collaboration with the Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning (ACSP), the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy is offering awards to support the development and dissemination of teaching cases.
The topic of your case proposal must reflect at least one of the Institute’s six key issues:
- Climate-Resilient Communities and Regions
- Efficient and Equitable Tax Systems
- Fiscally Healthy Communities and Regions
- Functional Land Markets and Reduced Informality
- Reduced Poverty and Spatial Inequality
- Sustainable Land and Water Management
The cases will be included in the Lincoln Institute’s digital case library. Cases are sought that re-create real world problems and ask students to consider multiple perspectives. Award recipients will receive guidance and support from the Institute to write a descriptive or inquiry case using the Institute’s case template. The writing process includes 3 drafts. In draft 1 and 2, the author will receive feedback on essential characteristics of a teaching case study from an instructional designer and a case writing expert. In the 3rd draft, the author will receive edits and feedback from a copy editor.
