Dear UNI partners,

We have been approached by UN Environment, who in partnership with EAUC (The Alliance of Sustainability Leadership in Education), is working on an initiative to raise the voice of higher and further education across the world around the “Climate Emergency”, in advance of the UN Secretary General’s Climate Action Summit on September 23rd, 2019. As part of the initiative, your institution can sign a joint letter to show support of this cause. The letter will be shared with key government officials and the media in advance of the Summit.

The aim is to get as many networks and institutions as possible on board to showcase their commitments towards the attainment of SDG 4 (Education) and SDG 13 (Climate Change).

As of June 25th, networks representing over 6,000 institutions have already agreed to add their names to the letter. Ideally, the president or chancellor of respective institutions/networks will sign on behalf of the institution/network.

For more information on who can sign and to read the full letter, please see https://www.sdgaccord.org/climateletter.

If you are ready to add your network or institution to this letter, then please sign on here.

For any queries, please contact info@eauc.org.uk.

Kind Regards,

UNI Team
