Don’t worry, be hAPPy

The app is back and chock full of presentations, posters, and special sessions!

Accessing the searchable event schedule is easy! And, learning the ins and outs of how to use it can be too! To access any of the conference information, just visit the Schedule & Sessions page and click on the Online Searchable Schedule.

Conference Registration Login Credentials (for the mobile app and online desktop version): your first and last name exactly how you registered for the conference. If you used a middle initial or nickname, you must type in the information exactly as you registered to receive the verification email. Can't find or remember your information? Email registration@acsp.org.

App Terminology
In the best case scenario, if we could change these terms to ACSP’s familiar jargon, we would. However, these terms below are hard-coded into the app by the developer who works with many academic conferences.

  • Subsession: The term “subsession” in the app means the paper presentations within a session. Posters are also included as subsessions of a specific track. You will also see that the six Mobile Tours are listed as subsessions under the main Mobile Tour session. This functionality allows us to keep the daily schedule in a shorter (less scrolling) format.
  • Speakers: This term is interchangeable with authors and roundtable participants (anyone who has their name included in a session). It also includes our keynote speaker. Not all of these speakers are registered attendees of the conference. So if you find someone in this section, they might not be in Buffalo.
  • Attendees: This section of the app is for confirmed registered attendees only. If someone hasn't registered for the conference, they will not appear in the Attendees list.
  • "Presenting at": When searching under speakers, this means an individual is affiliated with a session in one role or another (presenting author, co-author, discussant, moderator, roundtable participant). It doesn’t mean they are the presenting author of everything you see listed.

Questions/issues with the mobile app? Email website@acsp.org.

And best of all, registered conference attendees will have free WiFi during the conference so you will have all the information you need at your fingertips!

Download the mobile app to your mobile device and/or visit the desktop version today!

Here's the quickest way to find the information you're looking for within the mobile app and the web/desktop version:

Icons How to Use It
Schedule

Use this icon to view the entire conference schedule day-by-day. Sessions are sorted by track and include paper presentations (shown in the app as Subsessions). Click through to see sessions and presentations. If you are logged in with your conference registration login credentials, you can customize your personal agenda by clicking on the plus sign to the right of the session and/or presentation. To add an individual presentation and not the entire session, click on the presentation title and then choose the Add option.

Search Functionality: In this section of the app you can only search for sessions, not presentations (aka sub-sessions). If you want to search for paper presentations, posters, or mobile tours, use the Search icon (binoculars image/icon). When searching for sessions, type in a word from the session title and then click on each day to see sessions that include your keyword by day.
Attendees
See who's attending the conference! Click on the Attendees icon and scroll down to view registered attendees by last name. Or, once you've clicked on the Attendees icon, use the search field to search someone by first or last name. If they've registered for the conference, you will see them. If they haven't registered, they will not appear in the app.

Search Functionality: This is the only place where you can search for registered conference attendees. All other sections of the app will not pull/identify attendees.
Search
This is where you can find anything and everything, except registered attendees. Search for speakers, sessions, exhibitors, sponsors, and abstract presentations/posters. Simply type in the speaker name, session title, abstract ID number, exhibitor name, or sponsor name to find what you want.

Search Functionality: This section of the app will not pull/identify registered conference attendees. To find a registered conference attendee, you must be clicked on the Attendee icon.
Maps
Currently, there are three maps to view. The Buffalo Area map has a few pinned locations to make finding offsite events like the Opening and Student Receptions easy (additional pins will be added as information becomes available). The Exhibit Hall map shows exactly where to find exhibiting companies and publishers. The Convention Center map shows room locations for presentations, special sessions, and meetings. Hyatt Hotel map coming soon!
Sponsors
Take time to familiarize yourself with and say thank you to our sponsors! These organizations help make the ACSP Annual Conference a premier event! If you're logged in with your conference registration login credentials, you can even schedule a meeting to talk to a sponsor.
Exhibitors
Exhibitors also help make the ACSP Annual Conference a first-rate event! Tag those exhibitors that you want to meet with while in Buffalo so you can be sure to set aside time to do so in the Exhibit Hall.
Local Host
Thank you to our local host, University at Buffalo! By clicking this icon, you can find out about the university, host committee, host special sessions, and mobile tours. Let's make sure the University at Buffalo hears how much we appreciate them hosting #ACSP2018!
Special Sessions
Quickly find conference highlights, networking sessions and breaks, special sessions, mobile tours, and meetings all grouped together in this one spot. If you're logged in with your conference registration login credentials, be sure to add sessions you want to attend so they show up on your personal schedule by clicking on the plus sign to the right of the session and/or presentation.
Tracks
Find all sessions and paper presentations sorted by track by clicking this icon. With 15 different tracks, there's sure to be a number of presentations that you'll want to attend! If you are logged in with your conference registration login credentials, you can add an entire session by clicking on the track session and choosing the Add option (calendar with a plus sign icon). To add an individual presentation and not the entire session, click on the presentation title and then choose the Add option.
Speakers
Search for speakers by first name or use the search field to search by speaker first or last name. You can also find speakers by organization. Scroll down to find your organization to see who else is presenting!

Search Functionality: All authors associated with paper or poster presentations are also listed in this section of the app. Authors may or may not be attending the conference. To find registered conference attendees, use the Attendees icon (details show above).
Posters
Posters are sorted by track. Tap into the track to see all of the individual posters. If you are logged in with your conference registration login credentials, you can customize your personal agenda. To add an entire track of posters to your personal schedule, click on the track session and choose the Add option (calendar with a plus sign icon). To add only an individual poster and not the entire list of posters within a track, click on the poster title and then choose the Add option.
Activity Feed
Check out the Event Feed featuring social posts within the app. Visit the SocialWall to see the live Twitter feed using #ACSP2018. Review Notifications that will include special announcements and conference-related instructions. If you want to interact within the Activity Feed, you'll need to log into the app or desktop version using your conference registration login credentials.
