ACSP has developed a brief survey to assist in the development of an ACSP Values Statement. We invite you to participate in this very important endeavor, which should only take a few minute of your time.

While ACSP has a mission statement, we do not have a values statement. This survey is part of a broad engagement process that included focus groups conducted earlier this summer.

We want to hear from our members about what values should animate ACSP’s work and mission, and hence our collective work as engaged educators and researchers. We hope that the values statement can provide a point of reference to inform statements by our organization on key issues impacting urban and regional planning education and research, as well as provide a foundation for ACSP's efforts to support our individual and school members.

This survey has six questions and will take 5-10 minutes to complete. Link to survey.

As background, ACSP’s mission statement is:

The ACSP promotes education, research, service and outreach in the United States and throughout the world by seeking to:

  • recognize diverse needs and interests in planning;
  • improve and enhance the accreditation process;
  • strengthen the role of planning education in colleges and universities through publications, conferences, and community engagement; and
  • extend planning beyond the classroom into the world of practice.

As a thank you to all survey participants, ACSP will perform a drawing for a complimentary full conference registration!

If you would like to be entered into this drawing, please provide your email on completion of the survey. Deadline is July 31!
