|Lincoln Institute of Land Policy Awards|
Via a new collaboration with the Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning, the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy is offering awards to support the development and dissemination of innovative curricula and educational cases. The program encourages submissions of curricula and case proposals that align with one or more of the Lincoln Institute’s four themes: Land Value Capture and Property Tax, Informality and Urban Poverty, Climate Change, and Municipal Fiscal Health.
Innovative Curricula Awards
As detailed in the attached Request for Submissions, the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy is offering three $10,000 awards for exemplary courses. The awards will honor excellence in teaching and design of learning experiences that are accessible, engaging, and effective for all students. The courses should incorporate innovative design of learning experiences that foster creative applications of policies, tools, and practices; integrate expertise from multiple disciplines and connect theory and research to practice; and have been taught with measurable student success.
Case Study Awards
Per the attached Request for Submissions, the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy is offering ten $1,000 awards to proposers to write new educational cases or to use the Lincoln Institute’s case template to revise an existing case previously written by the proposer. The cases will be included in the Lincoln Institute’s digital case library. Cases are sought that re-create real world problems and ask students to consider multiple perspectives. Award recipients will receive guidance and support from the Lincoln Institute to develop a descriptive case (one that presents essential factors for a situation and expert interpretation of it) or an inquiry case (one that includes facts of a situation but shifts responsibility for interpretation to the reader).
