Welcome to FWIG!

FWIG, the ACSP Faculty Women's Interest Group, is a formally approved Interest Group of the Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning (ACSP), a consortium of university-based programs offering degrees and credentials in Urban and Regional Planning. ACSP promotes planning education, research, service, and outreach in North America and throughout the world (see link below). FWIG seeks to encourage and support women faculty and graduate students in urban and regional planning as well as those conducting research and outreach on planning issues critical to women.

  • Facebook - The FWIG Facebook page is a closed group so you'll have to ask permission to join.
  • Social Media - FWIG has created an additional web site enabling you to join their on-going conversations through Facebook and Twitter.

FWIG Initiatives

FWIG's initiatives are varied including the annual resume book, The Yellow Book Guide to Academia, FWIG Awards, research studies and the annual luncheon. Read more about FWIG's initiatives.

 

FWIG Donations

Making a donation to the Faculty Women's Interest Group (FWIG) helps offset the cost of subsidized student lunch tickets for the annual conference.

Mission

The Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning promotes education, research, service and outreach in the United States and throughout the world by seeking to:

  • recognize diverse needs and interests in planning;
  • improve and enhance the accreditation process, and;
  • strengthen the role of planning education in colleges and universities through publications, conferences, and community engagement;
  • extend planning beyond the classroom into the world of practice.
