Summary of Minutes

· the minutes were approved from the last ACSP Business Meeting held Saturday, November 8, 1997 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Executive Committee Actions were reviewed:

· ExCo appointed Wim Wiewel as Vice President;

· ExCo approved the selection of Cleveland as the site for the 2001 ACSP conference and Baltimore as the site for the 2002 conference;

· ExCo have agreed to hold a joint conference with AESOP in 2003;

· ExCo approved the establishment of the Global Perspectives in Planning Education Interest Group;

· ExCo approved the formation of a search committee to select new Editors for JPER;

· ExCo approved the proposed changes to the PAB Accreditation document; and

· ExCo approved modifications to the ACSP criteria for the PAB Educator Site Visitor Pool.

Discussions were held concerning:

· the proposed changes to the PAB Accreditation document; and

· the selection of Shanghai as the site for the World Planning Congress in 2001.
