The Division of City and Regional Planning at the University of Memphis is seeking to hire an Assistant Professor. This is a full-time, tenure track appointment.

The Division is seeking an individual with strong training and experience in environmental and physical planning. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to the program’s curricular coverage of environmental planning, physical planning, and urban design, and will be expected to contribute to the Division’s community engagement activities.

Minimum Qualifications:
• professional degree in planning or a related field and a Ph.D. in city and regional planning or a related field
• a minimum of two years of relevant graduate teaching experience.

The program is especially interested in candidates with a record of engaged scholarship, experience teaching applied studio courses, and experience in facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration between planning and architecture or other fields. We will be giving additional consideration to candidates with international planning experience in order to sustain the recent strides the division has made in fostering international exchange and collaboration.
