DIRECTOR OF INDUSTRY PARTNERSHIPS, Center for Advanced Urbanism (CAU), to provide strategic and operational leadership of revenue generation, working closely with the director and research director to develop and execute a plan to secure funds from corporations, foundations, and individuals. Will serve as central coordinator, consultant, and information source on development activities; identify prospects; and initiate fund-raising programs to attract donors. Will grow the CAU membership program by identifying, cultivating, and securing new members and maintaining relationships; develop an awareness of CAU research and education initiatives that companies in the portfolio can be encouraged to support with funding and other forms of collaboration; lead in planning and executing development events; and work closely with the assistant dean for resource development to coordinate development efforts and resources.

The CAU’s objective is to become the world’s preeminent cultural center about the design of metropolitan environments by articulating methods and projects to integrate interdisciplinary agendas in architecture, landscape architecture and planning, ecology, transportation engineering, politics and political philosophy, technology, and real estate on scales ranging from complex infrastructures to neighborhoods to entire regional

REQUIRED: a master’s or terminal degree in urban planning, architecture, landscape architecture, or closely related field; five years of direct experience; entrepreneurial evidence of fund-raising success cultivating and soliciting major funds from individuals, corporations, and foundations; proven ability to function as an effective team member and strategic thinker; outstanding written and oral presentation skills and ability to clearly articulate complex information and funding priorities; and comfort working in a highly diverse and international environment while building productive working relationships with a wide range of people.
