The School of Urban and Regional Planning at Florida Atlantic University is seeking a faculty member at the level of associate or full professor. This is envisioned as a signature research hire, with the ideal candidate having a vigorous research program. The position is open to all areas of specialization, though the candidate should seek to complement and expand upon one or more of the program’s existing strengths in the areas of transportation, land development, housing, environmental planning, globalization, and urban geography. Experience in the design, management, and application of planning-related data systems and decision support tools is desirable.
Candidates for the position should have a Ph.D. in planning or a closely related field, a strong and innovative research agenda, and demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and service. The successful candidate will be expected to teach core courses in the School’s graduate and upper-division undergraduate programs, as well as courses in his or her area(s) of specialization. Salaries are competitive and commensurate with experience.
