The College of Business & Public Administration at Eastern Washington University invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in Urban and Regional Planning, within the Department of Urban Planning, Public and Health Administration to begin September 2013.
The Urban and Regional Planning programs at Eastern Washington University have a long tradition of applied research and student engagement in community development and professional planning practice. The Bachelors’ Degree was established in 1968, and the MURP in 1978; both programs have been accredited since the PAB process was established. We currently offer emphasis areas in environmental planning and sustainability; rural and small town planning; and American Indian Tribal Planning. The core faculty have both academic and professional planning experience, and utilize field research applications in most classes, working closely with professional planners in the field.
The Associate Professor position is to replace a retired faculty member, and we seek a candidate with both professional planning experience and teaching experience, preferably at a PAB accredited Planning Program. The position would start in the Fall Quarter (mid-September) of 2013.
