The School of Urban and Environmental Engineering at UNIST invites applications for open rank faculty positions in urban planning beginning August 2013. Currently the school has 18 faculty and offers a bachelor, a master and Ph.D programs in urban and environmental engineering. The school is developing a new program in urban/regional planning and design and the successful candidate will make important contributions to the program.

The successful candidates will be expected to take a leading role in the teaching of courses in the planning program and have an active program of peer reviewed publications and funded research. In average, faculty at UNIST is teaching three to four courses annually. All courses are taught in English. Ph.D. degree at time of appointment (evidence of Ph.D. required at time of appointment) is required in urban studies, planning, or closely related field.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered. Applicants should submit a letter of interest and curriculum vitae, to sdchoi@unist.ac.kr.
