SAGE Publishing is proud to provide members of the Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning access to three of the leading journals in the field in addition to the Journal of Planning Education and Research. As members of the ACSP, you will receive complimentary access to the Journal of Planning History, the Journal of Planning Literature, and Planning Theory.

The Journal of Planning History publishes peer-reviewed articles, commentaries, and reviews in the field of planning history, including planning history in the Americas, transnational planning experiences, planning history pedagogy, and the intellectual roots of planning processes.

The Journal of Planning Literature aims to give the reader an understanding of the current state of knowledge of the field for use in research or professional practice in planning and design. Each issue contains one to three refereed literature reviews as well as the Council of Planning Librarians Bibliographies.

Planning Theory explores the broad conception of spatial planning and encourages a critical exploration of planning paradigms and ideas that reflect on major planning issues such as social conflict, urbanization, notions of informality and environmental change.

The Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning promotes education, research, service and outreach in the United States and throughout the world by seeking to:

  • recognize diverse needs and interests in planning;
  • improve and enhance the accreditation process, and;
  • strengthen the role of planning education in colleges and universities through publications, conferences, and community engagement;
  • extend planning beyond the classroom into the world of practice.
