ACSP would like to announce the appointment of Alfonso Morales, University of Wisconsin-Madison, as the regional representative for the Midwest. His term will run from the summer of 2017 to the fall of 2018.

“I’m am honored to be appointed to serve the association,” shares Morales. “I am committed to ACSP and I’ll gladly work to help President Takahashi and President Wu organize activities in support of our goals.”

Among Morales’ intentions while serving as a regional representative are to increase the understanding of planning and planning education among people of color in the Midwest.

Morales was appointed to replace Jennifer Evans-Cowley, who stepped down after leaving Ohio State University to accept a position as the new provost and vice president for academic affairs at the University of North Texas.

“It has been a pleasure working with Jennifer. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors and thank her for her dedicated service,” stated ACSP President Lois Takahashi. “We are also looking forward to working with Alfonso as he has a great deal of expertise to offer our association.”
