Summer Course in Shanghai on Urbanization

NYU Wagner will continue this intensive 2-week course in summer 2017 (the 7th time). Please feel free to circulate among your students. The theme is the urbanization process in China using the Shanghai region as a case study, covering national urbanization policies, land tenure systems, household registration, rural migrant workers, motorization, housing reform, economic development zones, village planning, town and village enterprises, and environments. The class time will be equally split between classroom lecture/discussion and field trips. The syllabus, detail daily itinerary, and slides from an information session are attached below.

Deadline for application: rolling based until all seats are filled

Location: NYU Shanghai in Pudong (Lujiazui)
Credits: 3
Cost: $5,000 tuition, plus a $1000 program fee covering lodging, four reception meals, field trip transportation, admission fees, etc.)
