New Viewpoints Essay: Resilience in the Built Environment of the City

Prof. STEFAN BOUZAROVSKI argues through his essay titled 'Resilience in the Built Environment of the City' that resilience can be connected to the notion of ‘retrofit’, he explores the role of bottom-up forms of urbanism and their contribution to city resilience and sustainability. He finally calls for "a deeper understanding of the diverse mechanisms through which residential buildings and people may embody complex processes of adaptation”
