The Department of Geography
and Urban Planning seeks applications and nominations to fill a
tenure-track, Assistant Professor position. The successful candidate will
offer classes in our accredited Master of Urban Planning program, as well as
contribute to undergraduate teaching in the Department. We are particularly
interested in candidates whose interests and skills position them to offer
classes in an established concentration in either Urban Economic Development
or Managing Metropolitan Growth.
The ideal
candidate will exhibit high standards of urban scholarship, enthusiasm for
first-rate teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and a
commitment to community engagement. Candidates must be able to work
effectively in a diverse urban environment. An interest in contributing to
professional urban planning practice would be highly valued.
At the time
of appointment, candidates must have completed a Ph.D. in urban planning,
urban studies, public policy/public administration, or a related field.
