Lectureship in Regional and Urban

Salary €35,609 - €83,497 p.a.

Applications are sought for the
position of Lecturer (equivalent to Assistant or Associate Professor in USA)
in Regional and Urban Planning in the UCD School of Geography, Planning &
Environmental Policy.
University College Dublin is a large
and diverse University whose origin dates back to 1854. There are over
22,000 students including 2,500 international students from more than 80
countries. The University is situated on a large modern campus about 4km to
the south of the centre of Dublin.
The School of Geography, Planning
and Environmental Policy developed from the recent academic restructuring of
the University. This School unites, in a way that is unique in Ireland,
three disciplines that are concerned with understanding and shaping the
world around us. Academic learning is combined with professional education;
the creation of knowledge is linked with its application in the real world.
Each discipline draws on the approaches and techniques of the others and is
enriched by this interaction while maintaining its own integrity. It is the
only university school in Ireland specialising in research and teaching in
geography, spatial planning, and environmental policy.
