Full-Time Lecturer in City and Regional Planning

Lecturer (full-time) in City and Regional Planning, one position for the 2008-09 academic year, with possibility of renewal. The teaching assignment will include laboratory (studio) and lecture courses in urban development and community plan making. The successful candidate may also offer courses, such as, plan implementation, community design, economic development and housing. Project based learning is the preferred teaching model. Minimum Qualifications: Masters degree in city planning or related field. Five years or more professional experience in the field of planning, including supervision of project work. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. Preferred Profile and qualifications: Teaching experience at the graduate and undergraduate level. Excellent oral and written communication skills, research/practice interests in land use planning, sustainable development or land use regulation and entitlement. Community based work experience is a plus. AICP membership desired.
