ACSP-POCIG Scholarship for Travel to the ACSP Annual Conference

The Planners of Color Interest Group will provide three scholarships for the AESOP-ACSP Joint Congress. Each scholarship will be in the amount of $500 USD to support the student's travel to Dublin. We are particularly interested in encouraging young scholars to attend this conference. Providing an introduction to the planning academy, the conference is a venue for students to meet other students, planning faculty, and attend conference activities such as panels, workshops, business meetings, and receptions. The goal is to make students of color aware of the importance of planning education/research and why more planning faculty of color are needed. The criteria are as follows:

  • A planning Master’s and Ph.D. student (priority will go to students presenting at the conference).
  • Travelling more than 100 miles to attend the conference.
  • A student attending an ACSP member school.

Please complete this application, include a vita, a statement of research and/or planning career interests (statements should be no more than 300 words in length). Statements that reflect a particular interest in communities of color will receive priority.

Application submission deadline is May 15, 2013.
