Welcome to the web page for the Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning (ACSP)! Members of this organization are planning schools or departments, rather than individual people. Most of our schools are located in North America, particularly the U. S., but we have member schools located elsewhere as well! Our association provides a number of services to our member schools, such as annual conferences, workshops, and publication of an academic journal of record: the Journal of Planning Education and Research. We also provide services to the general public such as a guide to graduate and undergraduate planning education and informational materials about urban planning as a career. The organization offers several awards, to people ranging from students to seasoned scholars. Interest groups that we help support include planning faculty members’ Faculty Women’s Interest Group, Global Planning Educators Interest Group, and the Planners of Color Interest Group.
A governing board elected by member schools oversees the affairs of ACSP. You can find out more information about the ACSP President’s Agenda for 2013-15 here. This statement of our two-year agenda provides more information about several key initiatives for these two years:
For information about various key initiatives, please review our initiatives page, which will change periodically. Thank you for your interest in ACSP!
